New in 2010!
With the new year upon us all it is again time to roll out some new features for my (Trenton Powers) main blog in 2010.
As you can tell from reading some post below, there is a new member of our team. Because this blog has been (admitted) shamefully remissed in not being as inclusive to the ethnic and urban populations, I invited a new blogger to visit from time to time. His name is Latrell X. You might notice that he is really edgy and hard core especially for a family blog like this one, but that is because Latrell X is black. He is a professor (black) from the inner city and he brings lots of experience and knowledge about black issues. So please keep an open, forward thinking mind when reading Latrell X's posts because he is black, after all.
Its all about urban outreach in 2010 here at Trenton Powers blog. There is also more stuff coming (new) so be sure to read more.
Also for those who remember, our own Speng Musselman is still resting at home and should be back on his feet soon. He thanks all of our readers for the positive energy sent his way.

Crap do you see what there doing here? The tea party is rounding up those who witnessed there brutality first hand and sending them to reeducation or doctorination camps.
The tea party have only been in power for a couple weeks and they are already clamping down on free speech. THIS IS OUTRAGE!

The greater story that the conservative media is tripping over itself to not address, is that this article goes out of its way to paint the tea party operative who did this murder as a just garden variety nut. More furthermore, it does so by peppering the first sentence with unnecessary details which might insight more hate against the forward thinking Tucson homosexual community.

Re: recent suggestion that Chad Everett could replace Leslie Nielsen as Marcus Welby MD.
Ridiculous.
Chad Everett is dangerous. He is a loose cannon. Yes, it is easy to forgive and forget that Michael Vick once killed puppies. Who hasn't? Yes its wrong but wrong doesn't bring those puppies back. But this is a different case. Chad Everett beat up Jim Rome. There is NO comparison.
If you take "killing puppies" on one hand (metaphorically speaking) and "beating up Jim Rome" on the other hand, which one ways more? Beating up Jim Rome. Hands down. There is no comparison and there should be no forgiveness for Chad Everett.

On a seperate but related note, I hope President Obama got her something thoughtful and cool for her birthday this year.

Does anyone know what all this hoopla over Helen Thomas is about?
It seems like the wingnutosphere is all up in arms about something she did or said. Problem is I cant find anything about it.
I looked all over the reputable news sites (like CNN, CBS and ABCnews) and nothing.
This reeks of another witch hunt. It is absolutely reprehensible the lengths some people will go to destroy a sweet little old lady.

Another no-bailout-taking automaker under investigation for stuck gas pedal problems
Dont get me wrong. I'm no fan of the Ford.
But it is interesting that another of GM and Chrysler's chief competitors is the subject of a federal probe into sticking gas pedal issues. This is why we need government control over auto manufacturers. You don't hear about Chevy gas pedals sticking. You dont hear about Dodge gas pedals sticking. You know why? Because of government!
Incidentally, I think it's high time that the government take a look into Daihatsu. Their gas pedals are always sticking. Seriously guys, "Daihatsu" is the Chinese word for "death trap".
